    2024-11-13

“Life-saving equipment” is even being counterfeited and sold!

Recently, the Ministry of Public Security released five typical cases of criminal activity involving the illegal manufacture and sale of counterfeit and substandard fire‑fighting products, revealing a deeply alarming situation. Some manufacturers cut corners by producing inferior fire hoses, others ordered low‑cost “non‑standard” fire extinguishers from multiple counterfeit production sites, and still others manufactured substandard dry‑powder fire extinguishers for resale…

Firefighting equipment is designed to safeguard lives in critical moments. Manufacturing and selling counterfeit or substandard firefighting products constitutes a blatant disregard for public safety and is a criminal offense that must be firmly condemned and strictly prohibited.

The Fire Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Fire Protection Products, and other relevant laws and regulations clearly stipulate requirements for market access and oversight of fire protection products. They prohibit the production, sale, or use of substandard fire protection products, as well as those expressly phased out by the state. Quality‑supervision authorities, industrial and commercial administration departments, and other competent agencies are obligated to strengthen supervision and management in accordance with the law and relevant rules. Any violations must be resolutely investigated and prosecuted, dismantling the networks of vested interests and supply chains involved, so that “life‑saving equipment” can safeguard lives and ensure safety when it matters most.
