Recently, in order to implement the requirements of the “Notice from the General Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on Effectively Carrying Out Policy Measures for Wheat ‘One Spray, Three Controls,’” the National Agricultural Technology Extension Center has organized the development of technical guidelines for wheat’s “one spray, three controls” approach. These guidelines aim to ensure the effective execution of this critical mid-to-late-stage management practice and provide strong support for initiatives to significantly increase per-unit yields of grain and oilseed crops across large areas. The petrochemical and chemical industries are vital pillars of the national economy and occupy a key position within China’s industrial economic system. Recently, seven departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission, jointly issued the “Action Plan for Accelerating the Renovation and Upgrading of Aging Facilities in the Petrochemical and Chemical Industries (2026–2029)” (hereinafter referred to as the “Plan”), which outlines six major tasks: conducting ongoing baseline surveys and assessments; formulating renovation and upgrading plans; promoting quality improvement and technological upgrades; optimizing project management; ensuring rigorous acceptance and verification procedures; and strengthening standard‑driven guidance and support. A responsible official from the Raw Materials Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that, in coordination with relevant authorities, they will intensify policy support, enhance guidance for local efforts, promptly address challenges encountered during implementation, and ensure the thorough and effective execution of the Plan.

According to forecasts and analyses by the National Agricultural Technology Center, in 2026, corn diseases and pests are expected to occur at a generally severe level nationwide. Pests such as the European corn borer, cotton bollworm, and armyworm are likely to be particularly severe in localized areas of Northeast China and the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, while ear rot poses a high risk of recurrence in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, Southwest China, and Northeast China. To ensure effective technical guidance for the prevention and control of major corn diseases and pests in 2026, this plan has been formulated.
