“Balancing Profit and Virtue, Prioritizing Virtue”—Call for Charitable Case Studies from Chinese Agrochemical Enterprises; Global Release of the Charity Ranking Simultaneously.

    Release Date:

    2022-12-17

    Dear readers,

From 2020 to 2022, as the battle against poverty was drawing to a close and the new 14th Five-Year Plan was being unveiled, rapid socio-economic development was abruptly disrupted by the COVID‑19 pandemic. Moreover, natural disasters such as floods exacted a heavy toll in terms of both lives and property.

“Balancing righteousness and profit, with righteousness taking precedence,” in the face of pandemics and disasters, China’s agrochemical companies have leveraged their strengths in their respective fields, proactively shouldering social responsibility. They have launched public‑interest initiatives spanning funding, supplies, manpower, and technology, making substantial contributions to epidemic prevention and control, post‑disaster relief, poverty alleviation, and educational support.

To showcase to the world the positive image of Chinese agrochemical companies—highlighting their active engagement in philanthropy and commitment to social responsibility in recent years—and to spread positive social energy, AgroPages World Agrochemical Network is soliciting charitable initiatives from across the industry. In January 2023, it will launch, for the first time in the sector, the “China Agrochemical Companies Charity Ranking.” The English-language version of this ranking will be published in the February 2023 issue of… 2023 China Pesticide Industry Watch The journal is simultaneously published overseas.
