    China’s first mesosulfuron‑methyl seed treatment product has been approved for registration.

    On April 27, the seed‑treatment dispersible powder product containing 30% pyraclostrobin, thiamethoxam, and kasugamycin—comprising 6.4% pyraclostrobin, 22% thiamethoxam, and 1.6% kasugamycin—was approved for registration by Jiangxi Zhongxun Agrochemical Co., Ltd.

           

    The registered crops and target pests are potato black scurf and aphids, with a recommended application rate of 60–90 grams of the formulation per 100 kilograms of seed potatoes. This is the first mesostigmine‑based seed treatment product approved for registration in China.

           

    Previously, a total of six formulation types of mesosulfuron‑methyl products were registered in China, including the technical grade active ingredient as well as wettable powder, water‑dispersible granules, granules, aqueous solution, and soluble concentrate.
