Announced today: These plant protection projects have been awarded the 2019 National Science and Technology Progress Award.

On January 10, the 2019 National Science and Technology Awards were announced in Beijing, with a total of 296 projects and 12 scientific and technological experts recognized. Among them, 46 projects received the State Natural Science Award, 65 projects received the State Technological Invention Award, and 185 projects received the State Science and Technology Progress Award. Academician Huang Xuhua, honorary director of Institute 719 under China Shipbuilding Group, and Academician Zeng Qingcun of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, were awarded the State Supreme Science and Technology Award. Ten foreign experts received the People’s Republic of China International Science and Technology Cooperation Award. According to statistics, three projects in the plant protection sector were awarded the Second Prize of the 2019 National Science and Technology Progress Award.
