    Release Date:

    2019-12-30

When faced with a fire, would you know how to escape and save yourself?

Are the fire hydrants in your residential community functioning properly?

Do you know how to use a fire extinguisher correctly?

Are the fire exits in your favorite shopping mall clear and unobstructed?

Promoting fire safety knowledge is just as important as saving lives!

To further enhance the public’s fire safety awareness and self‑rescue capabilities, improve the capacity of social entities to conduct fire safety education, publicity, and training, strengthen fire prevention and control efforts across society, and proactively prevent and mitigate major fire safety risks, the Hebei Provincial Fire Rescue Corps, in collaboration with Tencent Dayan Net, has launched the “My Scene Day” multi‑site online livestream series targeting ten key types of venues closely tied to people’s daily lives. The initiative invites participants to explore various settings, gain insights into fire hazards, identify different fire‑safety facilities and equipment, and learn essential fire‑prevention knowledge as well as self‑rescue and escape skills.

This event will be broadcast live from multiple locations. In addition to the main venue, ten additional sub-venues will be set up in cities including Chengde, Zhangjiakou, Tangshan, Langfang, and Baoding. Firefighters and emergency responders from each city will use live‑streaming to take viewers on immersive tours of ten types of facilities—large commercial complexes, hospitals, hotels, residential communities, universities, senior‑living apartments, and more—providing on‑site observations and vivid explanations of fire hazards, potential risks, preventive measures, and strategies for safe evacuation and self‑rescue. Two experts from the Hebei Provincial Fire and Rescue Corps will join the main venue to engage with online audiences, offering professional insights into fire safety, promoting fire‑safety awareness, and encouraging broad public participation in fire‑prevention efforts, helping to eliminate hidden dangers and enhance individuals’ ability to protect themselves and respond effectively in emergencies.

On December 31, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., viewers can tune in to the live broadcast by logging into the Hebei, Xiong’an, and 11 prefecture-level city tabs on the Tencent News app.
