A district in Yangzhou has shut down 270 chemical enterprises!

Recently, the People’s Government of Jiangdu District, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, published lists of two batches of closed chemical manufacturing enterprises, totaling 270 companies.

The first batch of public notices states that, since 2017, in accordance with the unified deployment of the provincial and municipal authorities and pursuant to the provincial, municipal, and district “263” special action plan, the chemical industry safety and environmental remediation and upgrading scheme, and relevant official directives, 228 chemical production enterprises have been shut down in compliance with laws and regulations. To strengthen oversight of these closed enterprises and resolutely prevent their re‑emergence, the list of closed chemical enterprises is hereby made public, and all sectors of society are invited to exercise oversight.

The second batch of public notices stated that, as of December 13, the 42 chemical production enterprises recently shut down in Jiangdu District have passed municipal inspection and acceptance.
