　I. Overall Situation
　　In the first half of the year, China… Pesticide Both the volume and value of imports and exports posted modest year-on-year increases. The trade surplus stood at US$3.883 billion. Import and export volume (measured in cargo tonnage, the same below) reached 763,200 tonnes, up 2.16% year on year; the total value of trade amounted to US$4.473 billion, an increase of 2.39% compared with the same period last year.
　　II. Export Situation
　　In the first half of the year, China… Pesticide Both the volume and value of exports posted modest year-on-year increases. Export volume reached 737,200 tonnes, up 1.90% year on year, while export value totaled US$4.178 billion, an increase of 2.58% compared with the same period last year.
　　Looking at the raw‑material and formulated‑product segments, both the volume and value of raw materials increased year over year, while the volume of formulated products rose slightly and their value declined. Raw‑material exports totaled 255,800 tonnes, up 3.42% year on year, with export value reaching US$2.538 billion, a 9.69% increase. Formulated‑product exports amounted to 481,400 tonnes, up 1.11% year on year, but export value fell to US$1.640 billion, down 6.78% compared with the same period last year.
　　In terms of both export volume and value, insecticides and fungicides both increased, while herbicides and rodenticides both declined, with insecticides posting a notably stronger growth rate. Herbicide exports totaled 507,000 tonnes, valued at US$2.164 billion; insecticide exports reached 153,900 tonnes, worth US$1.358 billion; and fungicide exports amounted to 61,900 tonnes, valued at US$570 million.
　　
　　III. Import Situation
　　In the first half of the year, China… Pesticide Year-on-year, import volume increased significantly, while import value declined slightly. Import volume totaled 26,000 tonnes, up 10.11% year over year; import value reached US$295 million, down 0.21% compared with the same period last year.
　　Compared with the same period last year, imports of active‑ingredient formulations showed a substantial double-digit increase in both volume and value, while the growth rate of formulation‑level import value decelerated. Active‑ingredient imports totaled 4,600 tonnes, up 47.90% year on year, with an import value of US$80 million, up 17.83%. Formulation imports amounted to 21,400 tonnes, a slight year‑on‑year increase of 4.40%, but the import value fell by 5.62% to US$215 million.
　　In terms of import volume and value, fungicides saw increases in both quantity and value, while insecticides and herbicides experienced declines in both. Fungicide imports totaled 13,900 tonnes, valued at US$142 million; insecticide imports amounted to 6,400 tonnes, worth US$115 million; and herbicide imports reached 5,600 tonnes, with a value of US$32 million.
