The Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced that the second round of “follow-up inspections” under the Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection has fully entered the on-the-ground phase, covering 10 provinces. As of the evening of November 16, the inspection teams had collectively assigned and forwarded 14,262 valid complaints to the inspected regions; among these, 4,124 cases have been investigated and addressed, 416 individuals have been summoned for talks, and 404 people have been held accountable. From October 30 to November 6, the five inspection teams of the second round of the Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection successively conducted on-site inspections in Shanxi, Liaoning, Jilin, Anhui, Shandong, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Guizhou, and Shaanxi—covering all 10 provinces.
