    The FAO/WHO Joint Meeting on Pesticide Residues was convened, completing the review of residue data for four pesticides, including the novel compound tioxazafen and abamectin.

    From September 12 to 27, 2018, the 2018 session of the Joint Meeting on Pesticide Residues (JMPR) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) was held at the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) in Berlin. More than 40 experts from countries including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Germany, along with officials from the FAO Secretariat, the WHO Secretariat, and the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) Secretariat, attended the meeting. During the conference, the FAO and WHO expert groups reviewed fluazinam through plenary sessions and breakout discussions.
