    In China, a total of 319 pesticides are registered for use on chives, with insecticides accounting for 83% of these.

    According to the China Pesticide Information Network, there are currently 319 pesticide products registered for use on chives in China, comprising 265 single‑ingredient formulations and 56 formulated mixtures. Among these, 264 are insecticides—210 single‑ingredient products and 54 mixtures; 45 are fungicides, all of which are single‑ingredient formulations; and 10 are herbicides, all of which are single‑ingredient products.

    According to Table 1, we can observe that among the pesticides registered for chives in China, insecticides constitute the majority, while fungicides are relatively scarce; herbicides, by contrast, are quite limited, with only pendimethalin currently registered. In addition to the diseases already listed, chives may also be affected by blight and soft rot during their growth cycle.

    As shown in the figure, the primary pesticide formulations registered for use on chives in China are suspension concentrates, emulsifiable concentrates, granules, wettable powders, and water-dispersible granules. Together, these four formulation types account for 95% of all registrations, with smaller numbers of registrations for other formulation types as well.
