On July 27, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced that 89 standards, including the “General Rules for Field Trials of Fertilizers,” have been reviewed and approved by experts and officially promulgated as agricultural industry standards of the People’s Republic of China, effective December 1, 2018. Among these 89 standards, those relevant to the plant protection sector include: “Technical Specification for Monitoring and Forecasting Rice Stripe Leaf Blight”; “Technical Specification for Sex Pheromone‑Based Monitoring of Crop Pests (Noctuid Moths)”; “Technical Specification for Monitoring and Control of Wheat Take‑All Disease”; “Technical Procedure for Evaluating Cotton Resistance to the Tobacco Whitefly”; “Technical Procedure for In‑Vitro Leaf‑Based Assessment of Rice Blast Resistance”; and “In‑Vitro Evaluation Method for Sclerotinia Resistance in Rapeseed Varieties.”
