The Ministry of Finance has allocated 673 million yuan in disaster relief funds for agricultural production, providing strong support for the prevention and control of major pests and diseases affecting grain and other crops.
To implement the CPC Central Committee and the State Council’s directives on ensuring grain production and disaster prevention and relief, and to further strengthen efforts to prevent and control major pests and diseases affecting grain and other crops, the Ministry of Finance allocated 673 million yuan in agricultural disaster relief funds on June 14. These funds will primarily be used to support 25 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government), including Jilin, Heilongjiang, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, and Guangxi, in procuring rice and… Corn Required for the prevention and control of major crop pests and diseases, including plant diseases and insect pests, locusts in agricultural areas, red imported fire ants, and others.
