　　The delegation learned that in 2017, the total output value of pesticides in Liaoning Province was approximately RMB 1.3 billion. Meng Wei, deputy director of the Liaoning Provincial Plant Protection Station and the Liaoning Provincial Pesticide Inspection Station, stated: “The province currently has 68 pesticide enterprises, about 70% of which are located outside designated industrial parks. Moving forward, the provincial government will implement scientific planning and optimize spatial layout for the pesticide industry, accelerating its transformation and upgrading. In addition, there are currently 14 provincial-level chemical industrial parks across the province, and we welcome pesticide companies from other provinces to establish operations within these parks.”

　　Nie Jinchun, Director of the Huludao Economic Development Zone, stated that, as one of the earliest-developed areas along Liaoning’s coastal economic belt, the zone now boasts well‑developed infrastructure and a distinct locational advantage. A fine‑chemical park centered on agrochemicals is among the key projects prioritized for development in the zone.

　　Wu Yong, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Liaoning (Yingkou) Coastal Industrial Base, stated that since the end of 2016, the park’s management committee has worked closely with the Provincial Pesticide Industry Association and the Pesticide Development and Application Association, making agrochemical enterprises one of the key priorities for the industrial park’s development. To date, more than 20 agrochemical companies have visited the park for discussions and site assessments, with nearly 10 expressing intent to establish operations there. The management committee is currently conducting a comprehensive evaluation of these applicants and formulating a unified development plan, confident that a number of projects will soon be launched in succession.
