However, regrettably, due to the policy of revoking provisional registrations, as of May 9, 2018, all of the aforementioned azoxystrobin‑based insecticidal products had been rendered invalid.
      Thus, it is evident that azoxystrobin is an outstanding insecticide and acaricide whose compound patent has only recently expired, making it a product well worth enterprises’ attention and market development. Although, under the new regulatory framework, the registration process for azoxystrobin‑based products has become significantly more challenging and costly compared to the previous regime, such challenges also present substantial opportunities. Moreover, when submitting applications for both the technical grade active ingredient and formulated products, applicants must provide robust documentation demonstrating aquatic safety, including advanced‑stage risk‑assessment data. All companies preparing these submissions are urged to fully appreciate this requirement.
