    The Ministry of Finance has allocated 1.2 billion yuan in funds for agricultural production and water‑conservancy disaster relief to support local efforts in drought‑resistance, as well as the prevention and control of major crop diseases and pests.

      To implement the spirit of important instructions issued by General Secretary Xi Jinping and other central leaders, the Ministry of Finance, in coordination with the Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, conducted thorough research and took proactive measures, allocating RMB 1.2 billion in central government funds for agricultural production and water‑conservation disaster relief on March 30. Specifically: first, RMB 200 million was earmarked for water‑conservation disaster relief to support six provinces (autonomous regions), including Zhejiang, Yunnan, and Guangdong, in constructing temporary drought‑relief water sources, procuring and transporting water‑pumping equipment, strengthening drought‑resilience capabilities, and addressing drinking‑water shortages caused by drought; second, RMB 1 billion was allocated for agricultural production disaster relief to assist 30 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government), including Hebei, Anhui, and Henan, in purchasing supplies needed for the prevention and control of major crop diseases and pests. Pesticide — Procure and distribute pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and other supplies; promote biological control, ecological management, and chemical emergency pest control; effectively implement measures to prevent and control major crop diseases and pests; and make every effort to stabilize agricultural production and ensure national food security.
