    Effective January 1, the “Emission Standard for Air Pollutants from the Pesticide Manufacturing Industry” has been promulgated.

    Regarding the promulgation of the “Emission Standard for Air Pollutants from the Foundry Industry” and other measures

      Announcement of 7 Standards (including standard amendment sheets)
      In order to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China, improve ecological and environmental quality, and prevent and control environmental pollution, the “Emission Standard for Air Pollutants from the Foundry Industry” and other standards are hereby approved as national pollutant emission standards. In addition, amendments to the “Emission Standard for Pollutants from the Inorganic Chemical Industry” (GB 31573–2015) and other related documents have been approved and jointly issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the State Administration for Market Regulation.
      The names and numbers of the standards (including amendment sheets) are as follows:
      I. Emission Standard for Air Pollutants from the Foundry Industry (GB 39726-2020)
      II. “ Pesticide Emission Standard for Air Pollutants from the Manufacturing Industry (GB 39727-2020)
      III. Emission Standard for Air Pollutants from Onshore Oil and Natural Gas Extraction Industry (GB 39728–2020)
      IV. Amendment to the Emission Standard for Pollutants from the Inorganic Chemical Industry (GB 31573–2015)
      V. Amendment to the Emission Standard for Air Pollutants from the Brick and Tile Industry (GB 29620-2013)
      VI. Amendment to the Emission Standard for Air Pollutants from the Iron and Steel Sintering and Pelletizing Industries (GB 28662–2012)
      VII. Amendment to the Emission Standard for Air Pollutants from the Steel Rolling Industry (GB 28665-2012)
      In accordance with the law, the foregoing standards (including any amendments thereto) shall be enforceable. The aforementioned standards shall enter into force on January 1, 2021, and any amendments shall take effect one month after their publication.
      The above standards are published by China Environmental Publishing Group Co., Ltd., and their full text is available on the website of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (http://www.mee.gov.cn).
      This is hereby announced.

This standard specifies… Pesticide Requirements for the control of atmospheric pollutant emissions from manufacturing industries, as well as requirements for monitoring and supervisory management. Pesticide Manufacturing enterprises and production facilities shall comply with the applicable national pollutant discharge standards for water pollutants, malodorous pollutants, and environmental noise. The identification, treatment, and disposal of solid waste shall be governed by the corresponding national standards for the control of solid waste pollution. This standard is being issued for the first time.
