Notice on Convening the Second High-Level Symposium on Agro‑Pharmaceuticals and the First Annual Meeting of the Agro‑Pharmaceuticals Professional Committee

To all relevant units:

Pesticide‑fertilizer products have been widely embraced by growers for their ability to significantly boost farming efficiency and free up labor. Moreover, safety is another key advantage of these formulations. However, the development of pesticide‑fertilizer integration has not been without challenges; pressing issues remain in policy and regulatory frameworks, national standard setting, and market oversight. Technically, the sector also faces shortcomings such as limited research capacity and uneven product quality. To advance the integrated development of pesticide‑fertilizer systems and ensure sustainable agricultural growth, the China Pesticide Industry Association will convene a high‑level symposium on pesticide‑fertilizer integration in Shenyang, Liaoning, on October 28–29, 2018. Concurrently, the Association’s Pesticide‑Fertilizer Professional Committee will hold its annual meeting. These events aim to address the current absence of industry standards by establishing robust guidelines and regulatory frameworks, elevating R&D capabilities and productivity, accelerating the transformation process, and fostering the healthy, sustainable development of pesticide‑fertilizer integration.

The following are the details regarding the meeting:

I. Meeting Agenda

Module One: Conference Agenda
(1) Under the new Pesticide Management Regulations, trends in domestic agrochemical‑fertilizer registration and the status of review procedures;
(2) Progress in the development of the “Technical Specification for Granular Fertilizer-Pharmaceutical Products”;
(3) A brief analysis of the registration, management, and application of fertilizer‑pesticides both domestically and internationally;
(4) Practical applications and solution sharing of integrated pesticide–fertilizer technology in specialized pest and disease management;
(5) Application of loss-reduction and efficiency-enhancing technologies in agriculture to fertilizers and pesticides;
(6) Novel specialty fertilizer products and prospects for research technologies.

Module Two: Selection of “Outstanding Agrochemical and Fertilizer Manufacturers,” “Outstanding Agrochemical and Fertilizer Service Providers,” and “Outstanding Agrochemical and Fertilizer Products”
To recognize and encourage excellence, we are launching a selection and award program for “Outstanding Agro‑pharmaceutical Fertilizer Producers,” “Outstanding Agro‑pharmaceutical Fertilizer Service Providers,” and “Outstanding Agro‑pharmaceutical Fertilizer Products.”
“Outstanding Agro‑Pharmaceutical Fertilizer Manufacturer”: (Attachment 1) As the most prestigious award, the selection process prioritizes companies that have pioneered new application areas for agro‑pharmaceutical fertilizers and have led or participated in the development of national and industry standards. The evaluation is conducted through expert review.
“Outstanding Agro‑Pharmaceutical Service Provider” and “Outstanding Agro‑Pharmaceutical Product”: (Attachments 2 and 3) These awards recognize service providers that excel within the agro‑pharmaceutical industry, as well as products that demonstrate significant efficacy or competitive advantages in the field. The selection process combines online voting with expert evaluation.
Application Method: Enterprises may independently submit applications for “Outstanding Agro‑Pharmaceutical Manufacturer,” “Outstanding Agro‑Pharmaceutical Service Provider,” and “Outstanding Agro‑Pharmaceutical Product.”
Submission Requirements: Applying organizations shall submit the application form corresponding to the award being nominated. All information provided must be truthful and reliable. Please send both a complete electronic copy of the application form and a scanned copy of the original, bearing the company’s official seal, via email or fax (see “VI. Contact Information for Conference Registration” in this notice).
Submission deadline: August 20, 2018.

Module Three: Annual Meeting of the Agrochemical and Fertilizer Professional Committee
During the conference, the Annual Meeting of the Pesticide–Fertilizer Professional Committee of the China Pesticide Industry Association will be held. The meeting will take place on October 28 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The main agenda items include: (1) deliberation on the development of technical specifications for granular pesticide–fertilizer products and the formulation of industry group standards; (2) consideration of proposals to appoint additional deputy chairpersons and admit new members; and (3) discussion of the committee’s work plan.

V. Conference Fees and Registration Procedures
1. Conference fee
Registration and payment of the conference fee (covering registration, materials, and meals during the event) are open from today until September 28. The fee is RMB 1,800 per person for member organizations and RMB 2,000 per person for non-member organizations; a confirmation notice will be issued upon receipt of payment. After September 28 and on-site registration: RMB 2,000 per person for members and RMB 2,200 per person for non-members. For groups of five or more from the same organization, one participant’s fee will be waived. Travel and accommodation expenses are at your own expense.
