On September 10, 2020, the Pesticide Inspection Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued a notice from the Secretariat of the National Pesticide Residue Standards Review Committee soliciting proposals for the development and revision of pesticide residue standards for 2021. In accordance with the requirements of the Notice on Soliciting Project Proposals for 2021 National and Industry Standards in Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued by the Department of Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Supervision (Document No. Nong Zhi Biao Han [2020] No. 138; see Attachment 1), we are now soliciting proposals for the development and revision of pesticide residue standards for 2021, covering maximum residue limits, methods for detecting pesticide residues, and technical specifications for establishing such standards. All units are requested to base their submissions on the current status of pesticide residue standards and the needs of agricultural product quality and safety supervision, and, in line with the goal of building a high-quality standards system, to adopt a problem‑oriented and demand‑driven approach. Please carefully review and submit your project proposals; the proposal submission deadline is September 20, 2020.
