In accordance with the Regulations on the Administration of Pesticides and their supporting regulations, the Pesticide Inspection Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is currently revising the Technical Specifications for Pesticide Registration Review. With respect to the product chemistry section, compared with the previous edition, the latest version has been revised and supplemented in areas such as the list of relevant impurities:
Update the list of relevant impurities.
Related impurities, as critical quality‑control parameters in product specifications, have long been the subject of extensive attention. In line with current domestic and international policies and emerging trends, the forthcoming technical review guidelines have updated the list of relevant impurities and further clarified the documentation requirements for these impurities in China’s pesticide registration and evaluation process.
Standardize the product quality specifications for salts and complexes.
Some enterprises may have questions about the data requirements for this type of pesticide during the preparation of registration dossiers. How should quality‑control parameters be defined for pesticides that exist in the form of a specific salt? Are copper salts subject to special considerations? And how should coordination compounds be regulated? The review technical guidelines will address these issues one by one.
Further refine the regulatory requirements for plant-derived pesticides.
In addition to the active ingredients, plant‑derived pesticides often contain a variety of constituents, such as organic acids, phenolics, minerals, and hormones. How many of these components should be designated as marker constituents, and which among them require established quality‑control specifications? The latest review technical guidelines will clarify the definition of marker constituents for plant‑derived pesticides, helping you—currently developing your own enterprise standards—avoid unnecessary detours.
