　　Recently, the logistics department has issued notices announcing the suspension of delivery services during the Spring Festival period in 27 provinces and regions, including Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Hubei, Hunan, Shanghai, Anhui, and Inner Mongolia. Nationwide, logistics operations have been gradually winding down starting December 25—customers planning to ship should do so as soon as possible!
　　In previous years, logistics companies typically suspended operations around the 20th day of the twelfth lunar month; by comparison, next year’s shutdown is scheduled for mid-January. However, this year’s severe cold wave, with its strong winds and sharp temperature drops, coupled with frequent heavy‑pollution alerts and an early first snowfall across much of the country in 2019, has placed the logistics sector under significant strain. As a result, many regional logistics firms have moved up their holiday schedules.
　　Starting December 25 and lasting until the end of the year, logistics operations in 27 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions will be suspended. With colder weather and recent severe smog conditions, the Logistics Department has issued a statement confirming the nationwide suspension schedule:
　　Operations were suspended on December 25 in Inner Mongolia, Tibet, Jilin, Liaoning, and other regions.
　　Train services in Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia, and other regions were suspended on December 30.
　　Hebei will suspend operations starting January 1;
　　On January 2, services were suspended in Tianjin, Beijing, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, and other regions.
　　On January 4, services were suspended in Fujian, Guizhou, Shanxi, Henan, and other regions.

　　On January 7, services were suspended in Shanghai, Shandong, Zhejiang, Hubei, Jiangxi, Hunan, Hainan, Jiangsu, Anhui, Guangxi, and other regions.

　　Prior to this, several companies had already issued notices stating that, with the year-end approaching, in order to ensure all orders are delivered before the New Year, they would suspend accepting new orders based on production lead times and regional logistics conditions. They announced their final order‑acceptance dates, with all orders placed after that date to be shipped only after the holiday. Some companies even declared they would no longer accept expedited orders, urging distributors and other partners to plan ahead for pre‑New Year orders and shipments to avoid delays.
　　The gradual suspension of logistics operations across regions and the widespread suspension of orders by many companies will inevitably impact the functioning of supply chains in various industries. We would also like to remind all businesses to stock up as early as possible, so as to avoid a situation where “you have the goods, I have the funds, but there’s no courier to deliver them.”
