The headquarters of the International Fertilizer Science Center has been relocated to the Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The 26th Annual Meeting of the International Center for Fertilizer Science (CIEC) was held in Braunschweig, Germany, from September 4 to 8. The meeting decided to relocate the center’s headquarters from Germany to China, with the Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, serving as its host institution.
Meanwhile, the conference announced that Ji Lanzhu, Party Secretary and Vice President of the Shenyang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as a researcher at the Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology, will assume the role of the Center’s sixth president. This marks the first time in the 86-year history of the International Fertilizer Science Center that an Asian scholar has held the presidency, underscoring China’s emergence as a new global hub for fertilizer science research. The Chinese Academy of Sciences is poised to become a leading institution in the field worldwide, spearheading cutting-edge advancements in the emerging discipline of novel fertilizers.
The International Fertilizer Science Center, established in 1933, is the oldest non-profit international scientific federation in the field of fertilizers.
