　 As the patent for the neonicotinoid insecticide thiamethoxam nears expiration, market demand for its intermediate, thiazole, has been rising sharply.

　 Since the second half of last year, Hebei Derui Chemical Co., Ltd. has focused on the market, seized the opportunity, and begun upgrading its workshop equipment in preparation for expanding thiazole production. After six months of dedicated effort, by the end of 2012, Hebei Derui’s thiazole output had increased from the original 50 tons per month to 100 tons per month. With growing market demand, we anticipate continuing to ramp up thiazole production.
