Notice of the 399th Meeting of India’s CIBRC: Twenty-two active ingredients for pesticides have been approved for registration.

On April 8, 2019, the 399th meeting of India’s Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) was held in New Delhi. During this session, a total of 22 active‑ingredient registrations for pesticides were approved. Among these, two were classified as 9(3) registrations (non‑export‑only), while the remaining 20 fell under 9(4) registration. The registered products included three herbicides, six insecticides, twelve fungicides, and one plant growth regulator. Among these 22 active‑ingredient registrations, 2 fall under Category 9(3) (without an export‑only registration), while the remaining 20 are classified as Category 9(4). The registered products comprise 3 herbicides, 6 insecticides, 12 fungicides, and 1 plant growth regulator.

In terms of enterprise registrations, Best Crop Science secured registration for four products, while Ichiban Crop Science and Sahib Pesticides each obtained registration for three products. Among the products, tebuconazole‑based formulations received the most registrations, with four companies securing approval.
