The United States plans to revise and establish maximum residue limits for pesticides such as acetamiprid in food.

On April 19, 2019, according to the U.S. Federal Register, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published Notice No. 2019-07840, proposing to revise the maximum residue limits (MRLs) for acetamiprid in tree nuts and cyflumetofen in tomatoes, among other foods. The agency also proposes establishing new MRLs for acetamiprid, cyflumetofen, pydiflumetofen, and several other pesticides in crops such as kohlrabi and cucumber. The public comment period will remain open until May 20, 2019.
