On November 9, 2018, entrusted by the Department of Crop Production Management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Pesticide Testing Institute of the Ministry organized a review meeting in Beijing, bringing together 11 experts from industry, research, and regulatory sectors to deliberate on eight agricultural industry standards, including “Guidelines for Large-Scale Reproduction Trials of Chemical Pesticides.” Following the review, the expert panel concluded that the following standards—“Guidelines for Large-Scale Reproduction Trials of Chemical Pesticides,” “Guidance for Environmental Risk Assessment in Pesticide Registration, Part 9: Mixture Assessment,” “Guidelines for Field Trials with Earthworms Using Chemical Pesticides,” “Guidelines for Avian Reproductive Toxicity Tests of Chemical Pesticides,” “Guidelines for Early Life Stage Tests on Fish Using Chemical Pesticides,” and “Guidelines for Amphibian Studies…”—meet the required criteria.

　　Upon review and approval, the expert panel concluded that “Chemistry” Pesticide “Guidelines for Large-Scale Breeding Trials” Pesticide Registration: Environmental Risk Assessment Guidelines, Part 9: Mixture Assessment, Chemical Pesticide “Guidelines for Field Trials of Earthworms” “Chemical” Pesticide “Guidelines for Avian Reproduction Experiments” “Chemistry” Pesticide Guidelines for Early Life Stage Tests on Fish — Chemicals Pesticide “Test Guidelines for Metamorphic Development in Amphibians” “Chemistry” Pesticide High-Performance Liquid Chromatography for Estimating Soil Adsorption Coefficients; Volatile Chemicals Pesticide The formulation process for the eight standards under the “Criteria for Acute Toxicity Testing of Earthworms” was standardized, with appropriate methods and technical parameters that reflect the requirements of “scientific rigor, advanced technology, practical applicability, and operability,” and are aligned with existing national laws, regulations, and relevant standards. The reviewing experts unanimously agreed to approve the aforementioned eight agricultural industry standards and recommended that the drafting organizations revise the standards in accordance with the review comments and promptly submit them to the competent authorities for promulgation and implementation as voluntary standards.
