The top-producing provinces were Jiangsu (81,121 tons), Henan (25,254 tons), and Zhejiang (24,621 tons). The provinces with the highest output were Jiangsu at 81,121 tonnes, Henan at 25,254 tonnes, and Zhejiang at 24,621 tonnes. Compared with the corresponding period in 2017, Jiangsu saw a 5.5% decrease, Henan recorded a 4.8% increase, and Zhejiang experienced a 19.8% decline.

In March 2018, China’s total herbicide production amounted to 99,242 tons, a 13.5% decrease compared with the same period in 2017, accounting for 40.7% of the country’s total chemical pesticide output. In the same month, insecticide production reached 54,429 tons, up 5.9% year on year, representing 22.3% of total chemical pesticide output. Meanwhile, fungicide production stood at 16,403 tons, down 9.9% from March 2017, making up 6.7% of the overall chemical pesticide output.

In March, the provinces with the highest herbicide production were Jiangsu at 35,317 tons, Zhejiang at 14,649 tons, and Sichuan at 13,425 tons. Compared with the same period in 2017, Jiangsu’s output decreased by 11.3%, Zhejiang’s fell by 26.5%, while Sichuan’s increased by 19.3%.

The provinces with the highest insecticide production are: Jiangsu at 18,398 tons, Hubei at 13,645 tons, and Shandong at 5,530 tons. Compared with the same period in 2017, Jiangsu increased by 21.9%, Hubei decreased by 14.2%, and Shandong rose by 15.2%.

The provinces with the highest fungicide production are: Jiangsu at 8,864 tons, Zhejiang at 2,620 tons, and Shandong at 2,620 tons. Compared with the same period in 2017, Jiangsu increased by 7.6%, Zhejiang decreased by 2.5%, and Shandong rose by 5.2%.
