The issue of finding viable outlets for industrial salt—a byproduct of the pesticide industry—has become a persistent bottleneck hindering the sector’s development. How can this impasse be broken? The China Pesticide Industry Association has leveraged its role as a key industry coordinator, taking the formulation of a group standard for 2,4‑D‑derived industrial salt as its first step and pioneering the development of such standards within the pesticide industry. The challenge of disposing of industrial salt has turned into a major constraint on the pesticide industry’s growth—so how can it be resolved? Pesticide The issue of finding viable outlets for by-product industrial salt has become a persistent bottleneck hindering the industry’s development. How can this impasse be broken? China Pesticide The industrial association has fully leveraged its role as a coordinating body for market entities in the sector, taking the development of a group standard for 2,4‑D by‑product industrial salt as its vanguard and pioneering efforts within the industry. Pesticide Work on developing a group standard for industrial salt as a by-product of the product.
The issue of finding viable outlets for industrial salt has become a limiting factor. Pesticide How can we break the spell that has been holding back industry development?
On September 20, 2018,由中国 Pesticide The kickoff meeting for the development of a group standard on industrial salt as a byproduct of 2,4-D, organized by the Standardization Committee of the Industrial Association, was held in Beijing. The meeting invited representatives from China… Pesticide Cao Chengyu, Senior Advisor to the Industrial Association; Dr. Duan Yousheng, Assistant Secretary-General; Liu Chunxin, Researcher at the Solid Waste Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection; and Dr. Hou Songmei, Deputy Director of the Standards and Testing Center at the Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry; and Pesticide Bi Chao, Deputy Director of the Association’s Industry Development Department, and representatives from 2,4-D-producing enterprises attended.
Dr. Duan Yousheng stated that, at present, the industry… Pesticide The treatment of waste salt faces challenges such as immature technologies, insufficient processing capacity, high treatment costs, and reluctance among treatment operators to accept it. With no clear path forward, the association has proactively organized efforts to promote the resource‑based utilization of waste salt, striving to establish a group standard for by‑product industrial salt that can withstand industry scrutiny, making this a key focus of the association’s current standardization work.
Researcher Liu Chunxin pointed out that in 2018, China’s Law on the Prevention and Control of Solid Waste was revised once again, Pesticide The development of the group standard for by-product salt should be grounded in clean production and resource recovery, with particular emphasis on factors such as control criteria and cost.
Dr. Hou Songmei offered relevant recommendations on the development plan for the group standard on by-product salt, including aspects such as indicator control and risk assessment.
Pesticide The development of a group standard for by-product industrial salt will help China. Pesticide The enhancement of resource utilization in the industry will, in turn, foster its healthy and sustainable development.
