From July 5 to July 31, 2025, the Pesticide Inspection Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China (ICAMA) officially approved the registration of 300 pesticide products.

A total of 23 active ingredients for pesticides have been officially registered in this batch. Among them, fluazinam has gained three additional registrations; cyantraniliprole, bentazone, and glufosinate‑ammonium each received two new registrations; and the remaining 18 active ingredients—benzoylmetazolamide, benzoxazolinone, chlorfenapyr, butyl‑octyl thiocarbamate, sulfonylpyrazole, flonicamid, flumetsulam, fluazifop‑P‑butyl, triflumizole, tetramethrin, pyraclostrobin, zoxamide, cyclopropyl‑sulfonamide, and bentazone‑methyl—each obtained one new registration.

In terms of active‑ingredient registrations, this reporting period covers 300 pesticide products containing 170 distinct active ingredients, corresponding to 216 unique product formulations. Among these, five active ingredients have 10 or more registered products, accounting for 15.21% of the total; 30 active ingredients have five or more registrations, representing 47.30% of the total. Thiamethoxam gained 21 new registrations, followed closely by chlorantraniliprole with 20; emamectin benzoate and benzobicyclonone each added 11 new product registrations, while pyraclostrobin secured 10.

The registered formulation types encompass 24 distinct dosage forms. Among these, suspension concentrates account for 94 products, representing 31.33%; soluble solutions comprise 47 products (15.67%); dispersible oil‑in‑water suspensions and emulsifiable concentrates each number 27 products (both at 9.0%); and technical-grade active ingredients total 23 products (7.67%). The remaining formulations include water‑dispersible granules (12 products), seed‑treatment suspensions (7 products), microemulsions (6 products), and smaller numbers of water‑in‑oil emulsions, soluble powders, soluble granules, microcapsule‑in‑water suspensions, suspension‑emulsions, microcapsule suspensions, and wettable powders.

During this registration period, 202 pesticide companies were involved. Among them, 20 companies registered three or more products, while 143 companies each registered a single new product. Henan Hans Crop Protection Co., Ltd. recorded the highest number of registrations this period, adding 10 new registration certificates; Shandong Wanhao Crop Science Co., Ltd., Foshan Yinghui Crop Science Co., Ltd., and Shandong Weifang Runfeng Chemical Co., Ltd. each obtained five new registration certificates.

In terms of registered crops, wheat, rice, cucumber, non-cultivated land, direct‑seeded rice fields, citrus trees, cornfields, transplanted rice fields, spring cornfields, cabbage, indoor cultivation, maize, sugarcane, spring soybean fields, peanuts, potatoes, grapevines, and tea plants are the crop categories with relatively high registration frequencies in this batch.

With regard to target pests and weeds, among the products registered in this batch, herbicide registrations primarily cover annual weeds, broadleaf weeds, annual grassy weeds, and sedges; insecticide registrations mainly target aphids, rice leafrollers, grubs, diamondback moths, tea green leafhoppers, powdery mildew, red spider mites, thrips, and sugarcane borers; while fungicide registrations are chiefly for controlling scab, blast, and anthracnose. In addition, 21 products are registered for growth regulation.
