An explosion occurred at Workshop No. 1 of Youdao Chemical, and the Ministry of Emergency Management has organized rescue and medical treatment efforts.

At approximately 11:57 a.m. on May 27, an explosion occurred in Workshop No. 1 of Shandong Gaomi Youdao Chemical Co., Ltd., and rescue and medical treatment efforts are currently being vigorously coordinated.
Following the report, the Ministry of Emergency Management dispatched a working group to the accident site and mobilized national integrated fire and rescue forces and specialized national work safety rescue teams to provide reinforcements, while coordinating medical experts to assist in treating the injured. Local fire and rescue units have deployed 55 vehicles and 232 personnel to the scene for response efforts.
Video footage provided by internet users shows thick smoke rising from the explosion site, with pipes inside the plant spewing white gas and yellow fumes enveloping the premises. Glass in nearby buildings appears to have been shattered by the blast.
According to available information, Shandong Youdao Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in 2019 and is a holding company of Shandong Haomai Group. Located in Weifang City, Shandong Province, it primarily operates in the manufacturing of chemical raw materials and chemical products. Shandong Haomai Chemical Co., Ltd. is the controlling shareholder of Youdao Chemical, holding a 97.375% stake; the former is a wholly owned subsidiary of Haomai Group.
