On the 14th, the Ministry of Emergency Management convened a Party Committee meeting and a ministerial meeting to deliberate and deploy key safety‑prevention tasks for the year‑end and New Year period, calling for the implementation of targeted responsibility measures and full‑scale efforts to ensure workplace safety as well as disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief.

　　The meeting called for a focused, rigorous effort to identify and prevent key risks as the year draws to a close. It urged stepping up “four noes and two direct” inspections and surprise checks in the mining sector, with strict scrutiny of serious violations such as over‑intensity, over‑capacity, and over‑staffing in production; failure to implement measures for addressing major hazards; and falsification or deception to evade oversight. In coordination with relevant departments, authorities were directed to crack down hard on illegal fireworks and firecracker production, unlicensed sales, and excessive storage. Special attention was to be given to high‑risk venues—including hospitals, nursing homes, schools, large commercial complexes, older residential neighborhoods, and shared rental units—where concentrated inspections would target high‑risk issues such as unauthorized hot work and electrical use, as well as blocked emergency exits, while ensuring that human, physical, and technological safety measures are fully implemented.
