To further advance Safety Month activities, enhance the Economic Development Zone’s capacity for emergency response to accidents, and improve the safety awareness and skills of enterprise employees, the Comprehensive Supervision Bureau of the Shijiazhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone organized Hebei Derui Chemical Co., Ltd., located within its jurisdiction, to conduct a 2023 comprehensive emergency preparedness drill on the morning of June 26.

This emergency drill simulated an incident involving a fire at the outlet pipeline of an ethanol storage tank. During the exercise, the Emergency Command Center provided on-site direction in accordance with the emergency response plan. The five response teams—the Emergency Rescue Team, the Security and Evacuation Team, the Pollution Control Team, the Logistics Support Team, and the Technical Support Team—coordinated seamlessly, each fulfilling its assigned responsibilities and tasks with precision. Ultimately, the fire was extinguished, the leak at the tank farm was successfully sealed, the security perimeter was lifted, and the emergency status was declared over, marking the successful completion of the drill.

This emergency drill further strengthened the fire‑response and incident‑management capabilities of employees at enterprises within the jurisdiction, heightened their safety awareness, and reduced the safety risks associated with workplace accidents. It also helped improve emergency command, coordination, and response capacities, laying a solid foundation for the efficient and orderly conduct of production‑safety work in the future. Moving forward, the Comprehensive Supervision Bureau of the Economic Development Zone will continue to rigorously implement all production‑safety measures, injecting new momentum into the high‑quality development of workplace safety in the Shijiazhuang Economic Development Zone. |
